The Syrian women's football team will participate in the seventh West Asian Championship, which will start the day after tomorrow at Petra Stadium in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and will continue until the fourth of next month.
Our team will start its journey in the tournament by meeting its Jordanian counterpart the day after tomorrow, and the Palestinian team will face the next Thursday, to conclude its matches by meeting its Lebanese counterpart on the fourth of next month, knowing that the tournament is conducted in a one-stage league system.
Our team finished its closed training camp in Damascus and headed today to the Jordanian capital Amman, knowing that it played two friendly matches with the Lebanese national team, which tied the first with a goal for the same and lost the second with two goals to one, and played three friendlies with the UAE team, winning two 4-1 and 1-0 and losing one with a score of 0-2.
Our team's mission consists of Nancy Muammar, head of the mission, Salim Jablawi as coach, Maha Katrib, Eva Ghazi and Basma Al-Ali, assistant coaches, Fidaa Darwish, coach of goalkeepers, Feria Lal Juma', administrator, Siwar Al-Najm, media coordinator, Bayan Mukdah, physical therapist, and Reham Abdel Rahman, responsible for the equipment and players, Sidra Khaizran, Lana Ibrahim, and Lana Ibrahim. And Marilyn Mila, Elham Oglan, Rima Dibo, Mayar Alloush, Nour Jumaa, Roaa Gharib, Raneem Al-Safadi, Haya Al-Halabi, Rania Al-Halh, Tala Nour Al-Din, Raneem Abu Latif, Ahin Muhammad, Aya Muhammad, Halaz Hajji, Razan Khondi, Rona Aizouq, Aisha Hammo, May Al-Jani, Maysaloun Mahfoud and Khuzama Al-Mulhem.
It is noteworthy that Jordan won the championship title in its first, second, fifth and sixth editions, while the UAE team won the third and fourth editions.
