FC Ismaning analyzes 0: 5 debacle: "We all failed"

After the 0:5 debacle, self-criticism dominates at FC Ismaning, who is working through the defeat in the Bayern league game at SV Erlbach.

– Mijo Stijepic had to sleep a night over this game.

After the 5-0 (3-0) defeat in the Bavarian league duel at SV Erlbach, the FC Ismaning coach stated “that this is my heaviest defeat as a coach to date”.

In the end, it was clear that the Ismaningers have some work to do after a good few weeks at the top of the table.

"We have all failed, from the coaching staff to the players on the pitch," said Stijepic.

The self-critical coach realized that he made mistakes in the tactical planning for Erlbach –• and then a lot went wrong on the pitch.

"We didn't have the right balance in the game," said Stijepic, "we thought too much about playing with the ball than working against the ball." In addition, Ismaninger felt too much after great performances in the past few weeks rested on the table image of the top team.

The FCI trainer also noticed that his team didn't really recover from the cold shower and a fast 0:1 (8th minute).

As in the home games against Schalding-Heining and Kirchanschöring, a goalkeeper error put them behind early on, this time Lorenz Becherer made a mistake together with central defender Rufus Roth.

Stijepic noticed that the extremely compact teams Kirchanschöring and Erlbach are too strong to simply come back into the game.

Stijepic doesn't want to speak of a goalkeeping problem.

Keepers should continue to choose spontaneously between the playful solution and hitting the ball from afar.

"The decision-making process is not optimal at the moment," admits the coach.

There was a logical reason for Becherer's nomination in Erlbach: because Cedo Radic became a father during the week and was therefore not in training.

The two defeats after the successful opening weeks certainly hurt, but they are not a broken leg for FC Ismaning.

On the one hand you have now played the two most unpleasant opponents, on the other hand you are still in the upper half of the table.

16 points after nine games would probably have signed everyone in Ismaning before the season.

Now it's time to get back up and learn the right lessons from the mistakes of the last two games.
