Frenchman Adrien Mannarino won the Winston Salem American Tennis Championships by defeating Serbian Laszlo Jerry.
It took Mannarino, ranked 65 in the world among the professional tennis players, to an hour and 44 minutes to be able to defeat Jerry, ranked 89 in the world, with two sets without a response, 7-6, 6-4.
Adrian Mannarino, 34, is the first Frenchman to win the American championship during his professional career, and took the title of the oldest player to be crowned during Winston Salem from Austrian Jurgen Melzer, who had won the title in 2013 at the age of 32.
