The Israeli national team lost tonight (Sunday) 95:83 to Sweden and almost definitively lost the chance to qualify for the World Championship.
With this ability, the blue-whites will not have much to offer in the EuroBasket that opens this Friday in Prague.
For Guy Goodes' apprentices, the game was also a test of tools for the European Championship, and the result indicates that the players in blue and white are not ready.
The guests started the game with energy from the bench and a tight defense, and thanks to several steals they ran to an early lead of nine points in the first quarter.
Good minutes by Yam Madar, who came off the bench and immediately took command of the attack, along with two wonderful three-pointers by Tamir Blat, narrowed the guest's margin to just one point at the end of the first quarter.

The Swedish team was not moved by the Israeli run and regained the lead in the game thanks to its own run, which increased its advantage to 15 points.
The Swedes continued to dominate the match without question in the second half as well, and thanks to a group of impressive three-pointers, they took a promising double-digit lead of 20 points in the third quarter.
Good minutes of the Israeli national team in defense managed to reduce the difference to nine points.
Goodes's apprentices continued to eat away at the difference, when a big 3-pointer by Dani Avdia narrowed the Swedish lead to only four points in the fourth quarter, but the yellows were not moved and with another run secured the Swedish victory.
