Great hopes and ambitions attached by the coach of the first Syrian national football team, Hossam Al-Sayed, during the coming period to restore the team's prestige and the masses' confidence again after the pitfalls it faced in its recent entitlements.
During a press conference on the presentation of coach Hossam Al-Sayed, which took place today at the headquarters of the Football Association in Damascus, Al-Sayed said: “I am looking for a new challenge and know the value of the players who are there by virtue of my training for them previously.

Al-Sayed previously led Syria’s first team to the West Asian Championship title in 2012, and led the Syrian Olympic team and the Syrian youth team to qualify for the Asian finals. He has many titles, most notably winning the AFC Cup twice with the Iraqi Air Force Club and the title of the World Military Championship. He also coached Kuwait clubs.
