Israel's women's water polo team celebrated today (Sunday) the second victory in a row at the European Championship in Split, Croatia, after not having a hard time with 7:18 over Slovakia and after the great victory on the opening day over France 7:8.
The team is expected to have a rest day from games tomorrow, but it will be a preparation for the next matches against strong teams such as Italy, who won the silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics, and Spain - the reigning European champion and Olympic runner-up.
"We expected a game like this, but we made a lot of mistakes in defense as well as in attacks," said team coach Dimitris Mabrotas.
"After a difficult game we had yesterday, we lost a lot of energy and didn't have enough time to rest - that was the reason behind our unfocused game. Obviously, the next games against Italy and Spain will be much more difficult."

Noa Sasover, who scored four goals and was one of the highlights of the game, said: "It was not our best game, but I am happy that we secured our second victory here. In the next games we want to do better. In two days we will come to fight, I hope we can show what We really know and can do."
Miriam Bogachenko added: "Once again we didn't start the game well. We could have done it much better and much stronger. Later on, we were able to get into our rhythm which allowed us to score more goals. Our next game is against Italy. It will be difficult, we can All the best and hope for a surprise."
