World Mountain Bike Championships: the triumph of Pauline Ferrand-Prévôt, crowned for the fourth time in cross-country

Starting alone from the first hectometres of the Olympic cross-country event at the world championships on Sunday, Pauline Ferrand-Prévôt flew over the race to win a third world crown in the discipline, after 2015, 2019 and 2020. She was able to enjoy the ovation of the public at the resort of Les Gets, in Haute-Savoie, before finishing the race 1′35 ahead of her runner-up, the Swiss Yolanda Neff.

She equals, with this fourth title in the queen event and for which she will be one of the immense favorites at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Norwegian Gunn-Rita Dahle, who flew over the discipline in the early 2000s. nice revenge for "PFP", who had missed the medal last year at the Tokyo Olympics due to an unfortunate fall.

On Friday, she had already won the short-track event.

The other French favorite, Loana Lecomte, crowned European champion last week, finished in fourth place.
