The event would have taken place very early on Monday morning.
Several armed and hooded men would have entered his house through his garden, before threatening him and his wife with firearms and iron bars.
The Gabonese international was even struck by the burglars.
They would then have fled with jewelry, driving a white Audi A3.
The Catalan police would be looking for them.
According to Spanish journalist Alfredo Martinez, the robbed couple "seem to be fine".
The former Arsenal player and his wife have two children together, aged eleven and six.
No information concerning their presence, or not, at the time of the facts, is known.

A watch stolen from Lewandowski 10 days ago
This burglary occurs 10 days after the theft of the watch of another Barcelonan, Robert Lewandowski, who wore it on his wrist.
