Prime Minister Yair Lapid: "The State of Israel used to be a country of only football and basketball. Now you have arrived. Now children all over the country look up to you, each in their own field. You are becoming a role model for every child in Israel - for every person. For the discipline, for the way you Dedicate yourselves to something. Some of you are involved in individual sports and it takes a lot of internal discipline for it, no matter how good the coach is.
We invited you so that we would have the opportunity to tell you how proud we are of you, how much the entire State of Israel was focused on you.
I know that each of you was in your own experience, in your own circle, in victory, in competition and in the enormous effort.
We were very busy with you and proud of you."

But for some time now, the Israeli sportsmen and women have brought tremendous achievements time and time again. There is no end to victories and medals, no end to inspiration and spirit, and above all, no end to hard work and perseverance along the way. I am happy about the important meeting that is taking place today as recognition and thanks to the sportsmen and women for their hard work and excellent results. I would like to thank the Prime Minister for the honorable place he gives to Israeli sports and for the invitation here today."
