Alex Poythers landed in Israel for the upcoming season in the Maccabi Tel Aviv uniform.

When asked what made him join Maccabi, he replied: "I talked to some of the guys and coach Ketch. There's a lot of history at Maccabi, it's one of the biggest clubs in Europe. I've played against some of the guys in recent years and I played with Austin on the same team a few years ago. We'll have a great team And I hope we will be able to do great things."
About his experience in the Mundobasket qualifiers in Africa he said: "I had a great opportunity and we had a great group of players in the Ivory Coast. I'm glad I had a chance to play with them and I hope we can be successful in the World Cup as well."
