The fifth round in the Premier League closed tonight (Thursday) with a meeting between the bottom of the table, Leicester, and the recovering team of Erik ten Haag, Manchester United.
The Red Devils hope to continue the momentum from the last couple of games, with Erik ten Haag keeping the same 11 that started in the lineup.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who will stay at least until the winter window, is waiting on the bench, as is Casemiro.
The brilliant acquisition Antony is not yet included in the squad and will watch from the stands as his teammates try to put together a third consecutive league win for the first time since December 2021. On the other hand, the table lock comes after three consecutive losses and is still looking for a first league win this season.
Brendan Rodgers' team did not lose to United in the last four meetings between the teams, but the feeling that Leicester has not recovered from the surprising departure of the captain Kasper Schmeichel and the expected sale of Wesley Popana to Chelsea.
The star of the Foxes, James Madison, is back in the lineup, as is Yuri Tillmans.
