The finding of the new sports management was clear: PSG had too many players under contract.
For financial reasons and group cohesion, Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier, upon their arrival, announced their intention to reduce the workforce to around 23 permanent members, helped by young people from the training center (qualified as "elite" players ").
And they targeted in particular a group of ten men, most placed in a "loft" away from the others: Layvin Kurzawa, Abdou Diallo, Thilo Kehrer, Leandro Paredes, Rafinha, Idrissa Gueye, Ander Herrera, Georginio Wijnaldum, Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, Julian Draxler and Mauro Icardi.
