Thomas Müller explains the reason for FC Bayern's strong start to the season.

After last season there was a "hunger for revenge".

Munich – The previous season was relatively disappointing for Thomas Müller and his FC Bayern Munich.

In the DFB Cup it was over after the 0:5 defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach, in the Champions League the Reds were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Müller, on the other hand, has higher demands.

FC Bayern's attacking start again confirmed his high expectations.

The "hunger of the players and the entire club for revenge" is great, explained Thomas Müller, who is on the way to becoming the record player, and justified it with the results of the past season.

"After the disappointing second half of last season, we want to show everyone."

But according to Thomas Müller, not only the changed attitude is a reason for the good start to the season of FCB, which only shows a blemish with the 1-1 in the home game against Gladbach.

The Bavarians are physically and tactically well positioned, movements and positioning are already working well.

Müller and Nagelsmann emphasize the good mood at Bayern

Coach Julian Nagelsmann also emphasized the "spirit in the dressing room" after the cup game against Viktoria Köln, which was "positively noticeable" in the dressing room and on the pitch.

As a result, it is currently not easy to play against FC Bayern.

Nagelsmann also rates the competition for the midfield position alongside Joshua Kimmich as positive, which will be further aggravated by the return of Leon Goretzka.

Despite the good results and the good mood, Thomas Müller curbed the euphoria.

Especially with a view to the decisive games in the Champions League next year, the current top form will bring little, the Bayern star recently explained.

According to Müller, it is important to carry the way FC Bayern is playing football and the good atmosphere throughout the year.

Disappointments in the DFB Cup and especially in the Champions League can thus be avoided.
