Again a very serious incident of violence in Israeli football.
Eight masked fans, apparently Hapoel Tel Aviv fans, broke into the yard of the house of one of the club's owners, Sharon Nisanov, today (Saturday), in the city of Savion.
The fans threw eggs and paint into the yard of his house and cursed his family members.
Nisanov told Israel Hayom: "I will file a complaint, but I will not give in because of some hooligans and I will not harm Hapoel Tel Aviv. Everything is on the cameras and I hope the police will get to them," and added: "Shame and disgrace, they came with masks and helmets on their heads."
Following the difficult incident, the chairman of the league directorate, Erez Kalfon, issued a strong response and said: "I take very seriously the harm to team owners and the unbridled attack by criminals on the private home of Sharon Nisanov, owner of Hapoel Tel Aviv.
I was updated from Sharon on the details of the case and I also spoke with Corporal Itzik Amir, head of the Department of Violence Prevention in Sports at the Israel Police. I asked him that the police investigate the matter quickly, quickly find the culprits and bring them to justice. It is a shame that once again individual criminals blacken the name of the majority of Hapoel Tel's loyal fans Spring".
In the meantime, the club's management announced that the club's legal advisors will submit a warning letter before filing a libel suit against Eyal Berkovic, who, according to them, regularly attacks the club's staff "without any restraint, while distorting facts and lies - and using words bordering on incitement against the club in general and the owner in particular". The message reads, "In addition, the owners of the club intend to send, personally, a warning letter before suing Mr. Berkovich, who will be sued for the economic and image damages caused to Hapoel Tel Aviv and the owners of the club."
