The Bundesliga has a new table leader in SC Freiburg.

The team of coach Christian Streich won 3: 2 (1: 0) against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon, at the same time it was only enough for FC Bayern Munich to a 1: 1 (1: 1) at Union Berlin.

1. FC Köln exacerbated the crisis at VfL Wolfsburg with a 4:2 (3:1).

Schalke 04 and VfB Stuttgart drew 1-1 (1-1), meaning that both clubs are still waiting for their first win of the season.

Werder Bremen's goals in the 2-0 (0-0) win over VfL Bochum came just before the end of the game.

For the second time in a row, FC Bayern dropped points in the Bundesliga.

In the top game on Saturday afternoon at Union Berlin, the German champions only managed a 1-1 (1-1).

For the Berliners it was the twelfth league game in a row without defeat.

In the table, Union is in third place with eleven points, Bayern are level on points and one place ahead due to a better goal difference.

Sheraldo Becker, who gave Union the lead in the 12th minute, was decisive for the hosts' point win.

After a free-kick cross from the left half-field, he finished at the far post and put the ball into the far corner with his shin.

After five appearances, the Dutchman already has five goals and two assists.

Joshua Kimmich equalized for Bayern a little later.

The ball bounced free from a Munich corner, and the German international shot low and hard at the goal from the right.

Slightly deflected, the ball hit the far corner (15th minute).

FC Bayern was then superior, but it wasn't enough to score a goal.

The best chance came when Jamal Musiala pushed through to Leroy Sané, who was completely free in the Stuttgart penalty area.

Union keeper Frederik Rønnow blocked his shot from close range with his foot (36').

Shortly before the break, Sané tried it from about 20 meters, but circled the ball just wide of the left angle (45th).

Union threatened in the 77th minute when Jamie Leweling snatched the ball from Dayot Upamecano, but was denied by the strong reaction of Manuel Neuer.

Neither VfB Stuttgart nor Schalke 04 were able to end their wait for their first win of the season in the fifth game.

In the 1-1 draw between the two clubs, Chris Führich scored for Stuttgart (19'), Simon Terodde equalized a few moments later (21').

Shortly before the end of the transfer period on Thursday, Schalke had loaned Dutch defensive talent Sepp van den Berg from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old was in the starting XI against VfB and was responsible for the 1-0 draw when he lost the ball to Silas with a stop error.

He hung up for the running Führich, who scored the 1-0.

Just two minutes later, Simon Terodde made it 1-1 after good preliminary work from Tom Krauss and Dominick Drexler.

It was the first goal of the season for the Bundesliga 2 record scorer.

Even after Stuttgart's Josuha Vagnoman was sent off, who was sent off with yellow-red in the 67th minute, Schalke were no longer a threat.

VfL Bochum is without a point this season.

Even before the kick-off VfL was under pressure, after four defeats and media reports about a coach Thomas Reis allegedly willing to leave, the game against newly promoted Werder Bremen started in disarray.

Bochum got into the game a little better, but didn't create clear chances.

Werder only came into play towards the middle of the first half.

Niklas Schmidt came closest to scoring a goal, he put a free kick on the inside of the post (41st).

After the break, the game remained hectic and balanced.

Bochum cheered once, but because Philipp Hofmann scored his supposed goal with his arm (81st), the goal didn't last.

Werder had the better end for themselves: first Niclas Füllkrug headed in to take the lead (86'), then the attacker converted a penalty after a foul on Oliver Burke (90'+1').

Even after the fifth game since his return to the Bundesliga, Niko Kovač is still waiting for his first win of the season with VfL Wolfsburg.

Things got off to a good start in the home game against 1. FC Köln: Bartol Franjić passed on Lukas Nmecha in the second minute of his Bundesliga debut, who gave VfL the lead.

However, the Wolfsburg team did not gain security with the early 1-0 lead.

After a pass from Florian Kainz, Dejan Ljubicic equalized (22'), VfL defender Paulo Otávio then overcame his goalkeeper with a curious own goal - Koen Casteels had fended off an initial unsuccessful clarification by Otávio, but the Brazilian then pressed the margin while still on the move over the line (31st).

Now almost only Cologne played, the strong Kainz converted a penalty after a foul by Luca Waldschmidt for the preliminary decision (45 + 1).

Nmecha managed to catch up with his second goal (79'), and Sargis Adamyan nipped any new hopes in Wolfsburg in the bud (81').

The Cologne team remain undefeated in the current Bundesliga season.

Bayer Leverkusen's crisis continued against SC Freiburg, Gerardo Seoane's team suffered their fourth defeat of the season in five games.

At the same time, the Bavarians from Freiburg gave the lead as a gift: Manuel Gulde didn't get the ball cleared in his own six-yard box and put the opening goal on Kerem Demirbay (16').

Freiburg turned the game around with a double strike after the break: Matthias Ginter headed the equalizer after a corner (48'), Michael Gregoritsch pushed the ball over the line at the far post just two minutes later (50').

But Bayer didn't give up and came back with Patrik Schick's first goal of the season (65').

The decision was again made by Freiburg's standard strength, from a similar position as Gregoritsch before Ritsu Doan made it 3:2 after a corner kick (71st).

The Freiburgers managed to jump to the top of the table thanks to the success.
