Formula 1: a smoke bomb on the track, qualifying disrupted in the Netherlands

The projectile launched in the middle of the track forced the organizers to suspend qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix.


Tens of thousands of Dutch people gathered in the stands of the Zandvoort circuit to support world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) this weekend.

Unwavering support for the world champion who exceeded the limits on Saturday when a spectator threw a smoke bomb on the circuit when the second phase of qualifying had started.

The projectile, arriving in the middle of the track, released an orange smoke, forcing the organizers to immediately suspend the session.
