Eintracht Frankfurt has confirmed its upward form curve in the Bundesliga.
In the home game against RB Leipzig, SGE won impressively 4-0 (2-0), with goals scored by Daichi Kamada (16th minute), Sebastian Rode (22nd), Tuta (67th) and Rafael Borré from the penalty spot (84th).
After the second win and the fourth unbeaten game in a row, Eintracht climbed into the top half of the table for at least one night, past Leipzig, who are now eleventh.
The game began with Eintracht's first high point: after a pass by Randal Kolo Muani, Kamada ran alone towards the Leipzig goal and overcame Péter Gulácsi (9').
But the Japanese had started his run from the offside, the goal didn't count.
Nevertheless, the scene gave a foretaste of the surprisingly one-sided balance of power on the pitch.
The fact that Leipzig also lost Dani Olmo early on, who injured himself in an unfortunate duel with Djibril Sow (11th), did not help Domenico Tedesco's team either.
Emil Forsberg came into play for the Spaniard.
Rode scores and has to go
A play worth seeing followed, which started the 1:0: Mario Götze lifted the ball sensitively into the penalty area, where Kolo Muani headed the ball across again.
Kamada also completed the attack in the center with a header (16').
A few minutes later, Kolo Muani collected his next assist, this time Rode processed the ball in the penalty area and scored with a shot deflected by Willi Orban (22nd).
Afterwards, Eintracht besieged the Leipziger Stafraum, RB didn't have a single goal until the break.
However, the Frankfurt team experienced a setback: Rode suffered a slight muscle injury, and junior Dina Ebimbe, who was loaned out by Paris Saint-Germain, came on for the captain (32nd).
Leipzig came out of the dressing room with more vigor, but it didn't take long for Frankfurt to regain control of the game.
And the next SBU chances followed: Twice the conspicuous Götze failed at Gulácsi (59th/67th), the second time Tuta, who moved up after a corner, made it 3-0.
The question of whether Kamada had been offside and in Gulácsi's field of view when Götze's shot caused a debate arose, but referee Felix Brych gave the goal.
Substitute Borré scored the final score, sending Gulácsi into the wrong corner after a penalty kick (84').
The two Champions League participants are therefore going into the first group match day next week with very different dress rehearsals.
