Russia's Daniil Medvedev qualified for the quarter-finals of the US Open after defeating China's Weiping Wu.
Medvedev, the world's number one among professional tennis players, qualified for the final of the tournament by defeating Weiping in three sets without a response, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2, with a time of one hour and 55 minutes.
Medvedev will meet in the next round with Australian Nick Kyrgios, ranked 25 in the world, who in turn defeated American JJ Wolf in three sets without a response, 6-4, 6-2, 6-3.
