With the crowning of the rider Laith Al-Ali with the title of the “Big Tour” championship, the curtain came down today for the Damascus Equestrian Show Jumping Championship, after four days of strong competition between the riders of all categories.
In the final match of the upper category, which was held for a height of 140 cm, the jockey Laith Al-Ali won the championship title for this category, leaving the runner-up to the jockey Moayad Al-Jamous, followed by the jockey Hani Badran, while the title of the middle category “Medium Tour” for a height of 130 cm went to the jockey Hadi Nizam and his sister Jodi Nizam came as the runner-up and the jockey’s solution Lieutenant-Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry third.
As for the jockey Moayad Al-Jamous, he was crowned with the title of the junior category “Small Tour” for a height of 120 cm, followed by the jockey Ghaly Al-Zaybak and then the jockey, Lieutenant-Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry, knowing that the mentioned categories were contested according to the original half-cycle system and the differentiation round for each category separately.
The championship titles were won in the categories of “Ama Tour” for a height of 105 cm, a “Mini Tour” of a height of 90 cm, and a category of “Children” for a height of 80 cm, respectively. The riders Ahmed Dawla, Alfred Al-Naqari and Aya Al-Daya.
In a statement to SANA, the designer of the championship obstacle course Mazen Bayram pointed out to the strong competitions that the championship witnessed in all its matches, which were imposed by the nature of the paths in each category separately, as they were developed in accordance with international standards, especially in terms of heights and the design of the appropriate paths for each category from the first match to the final.
A number of knights expressed their happiness to participate in the championship, which was distinguished in terms of organization and a good technical level, pointing to the high level of skill presented by the knights in all categories and strong competitions, especially in the final matches with their original runs and differentiation rounds, which showed the similar high levels.
