In the Olympic Park in Munich near the monument to the memory of the 11 athletes, the exciting 550 km race that Asaf Stolarz ran in cooperation with "Maccabi Rohafa Olimim", "Maccabi Israel" and the Olympic Committee ended today (Sunday), as his story was first published in "Israel Hayom" ". 

Stolarz participated in the race in memory of the 11 Israeli athletes, along with his friend and Peter Hedjo, who for 11 days ran about 550 km from Budapest to Munich. The race began on August 21 and ended as mentioned in the Olympic Park, near the monument in memory of the murdered. 

In a race that lasted 11 days, and each day was preceded by another murder, Assaf and Peter ran an average of 50 km across 3 countries: Hungary, Austria, and ending in Germany. 

Stolarz said: "The purpose of the "Run to Remember" race was to raise a voice against hatred, racism, anti-Semitism, violence and discrimination everywhere in the world and of course in memory of the 11 Israeli athletes who were murdered at the Munich Olympics." 

Starting tomorrow, on the 50th anniversary, a series of ceremonies will be held in Munich and later this month also in Israel, where the president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, will arrive.
