After his name was linked more than once to a possible move to Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Beer Sheva's defender, Hatem Abdel-Elhamid, today (Monday) put up a poignant post and answered the criticisms.
"Dear fans, I really have no intention of going into discussing whether or not I am committed to a club that I truly love so much and everyone close to me knows this very well.
I've never considered professional criticism because it doesn't interest me in sailing and I know exactly what I'm worth that I play my role that I love and don't move to roles that I hate to play but I have to play because the coach said and asked and I have to respect that.
I'm responding because I'm full of messages and fans who want me to talk about the claims that I play without desire because I want to move to another club in Israel.
You made a game mistake and I caused a penalty and I take responsibility for that.
There are less good days and mistakes, but it's a slight hit in the wing.
I will continue to give everything possible for the success of the club as long as I step on the grass and wear the red shirt."
In the meantime, the Reds announced that Yoni Stoyanov has been called up to the Bulgarian team for the pair of games against Gibraltar and North Macedonia.
