Al-Wahda team won the Republic Cup championship for men’s basketball after its victory in the final match against Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo with a score of 58-52 points, in the meeting that brought them together today on the grounds of the Martyr Nasih Alwani Sports Hall in Hama.
The first quarter ended in favor of Al-Wehda 16-11 points, while the second quarter ended with a 14-14 point tie, and Al-Wehda returned to advance in the third quarter by 13-7 points, and although Ahli Aleppo settled the fourth quarter in their favour, 20-15 points, but that was not enough to make up the difference for Al-Wehda to win by a difference. Six points.
Al-Wahda qualified for the final match after winning the quarter-finals against Al-Wathba 95-62 points and Al-Jalaa in the semi-finals with a score of 70-63 points, while Al-Ahly Aleppo beat Al-Jaish first with 66-60 points and then Al-Karama in the semi-finals 65-60 points.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Galaa team is the title holder of the Republic Cup for men's basketball last season.
