The mystery of the game permit for Caiuby at Türkgücü Munich drags on.

Coach Kayabunar writes off the ex-professional until further notice.

Munich – It sounded like a big hit from Türkgücü Munich on the transfer market.

But whether and when the clubless attacker Caiuby (34) can play for the Perlacher for the first time remains in the stars.

This is confirmed by coach Alper Kayabunar (36) and sporting director Roman Plesche (35) following the lost Round of 16 to the TSV 1860 (1:3).

Türkgücü Munich: mystery about work permit for Caiuby - Plesche: "It's annoying"

It should finally work against the third division leaders with the debut of the former Bundesliga professional (including FC Augsburg).

But nothing came of it.

"It's difficult with the work permit," Plesche explained to Fußball Vorort/FuPa Oberbayern after the city duel

.

"We don't know whether that will still happen," says the sports director pessimistically.

He expects Caiuby to play after the winter break at the earliest.

Until last week, Caiuby trained with Türkgücü Munich.

"He has to settle his issues first and maybe then he'll have the opportunity," hopes Plesche.

The attacker currently still lives in Ingolstadt, where he had his last professional position in the 3rd division.

The reasons why the gaming license is taking so long have been puzzled for some time.

"It's annoying because he presented himself superbly," the sport director regrets the thankless scenario for everyone involved.

No special status as a professional footballer for Caiuby - ex-professional must extend residence permit

The aim is initially for the ex-professional to be able to extend his residence permit in Germany.

"It's not that easy, he's a Brazilian, not an EU citizen, it's more difficult than with someone else if he doesn't have special status as a professional footballer," says Plesche.

The lengthy process may be related to the allegations of physical harm, which is why Caiuby was even in custody, according to a report by the Augsburger Allgemeine.

At the press conference after the harmonious city derby, Alper Kayabunar was short on the subject when asked: “It is a fact that he is not available for the time being.

I deal with things that I can influence, and Caiuby is currently no longer an issue for us.

“The team is slowly finding itself”: Plesche agreed with the performance despite the elimination of the Totopokal

In the relegation battle of the Bavarian regional league, coach Kayabunar's team would certainly do well with a seasoned player of the Caiubys class.

But it must probably work without the experienced attacker.

With the away win at Kellerkind VfB Eichstätt (2:4), the third division relegated team got some breathing room.

Those responsible also agree with the performance against TSV 1860, even if Plesche was missing "the last punch": "The team is slowly finding itself.

That took time, but we got an important win in Eichstätt and we just have to keep at it for the next few weeks."
