As the transfer window closes this Thursday, in Turkey, the Argentine striker is getting closer to signing for Galatasaray. He is expected in Istanbul

The Mauro Icardi soap opera is experiencing its epilogue.

Placed among the undesirables at PSG, the Argentinian striker who was not included in the list of the Parisian club for the Champions League is about to bounce back in Turkey.

Galatasaray, 13th in his championship last season, has been in talks with Paris, the player and his entourage for a while and hopes to conclude the operation in the coming hours.

The negotiations relate to a loan of one year with a significant support of the salary by Paris.

Subject to the final details to be settled with PSG, the former captain of Inter should join Istanbul in the evening.

From a Turkish source, Galatasaray has chartered a flight which should depart from Milan with the 29-year-old player on board.

The transfer market ends this Thursday, September 8 in Turkey.

It is therefore no longer a question of wasting time.

Mauro Icardi, under contract until 2024 with Paris, does not enter into Christophe Galtier's plans.

For a month, he has not trained with the first team and has been placed in a second training group which has emptied over the weeks, with the departure of players on whom PSG no longer counted.

Pell-mix, we will mention Rafinha (Al-Arabi), Georginio Wijnaldum (Roma), Thilo Kehrer (West-Ham), Julian Draxler (Benfica), Ander Herrera (Bilbao), Layvin Kurzawa (Fulham), Idrissa Gueye (Everton) , Eric Junior Dina-Ebimbe (Frankfurt) or Leandro Paredes (Juventus).

More than three years after his arrival at PSG and his final signing a year later for 50 million euros, Mauro Icardi has never been so close to following in their footsteps.
