When will FC Bayern II be able to win again?
After the bankruptcy at the bottom of the table Augsburg II, SV Heimstetten comes to the Grünwalder Stadium on Saturday.
Munich – The yield before the home game against SV Heimstetten is more than mixed.
After ten games in the regional league, the U23s from Munich only have 13 points.
Martin Demichelis and his players have three wins, four draws and three defeats after just over a quarter of the season - with 18 goals scored and 17 conceded.
The team still has two points ahead of the first relegation relegation place to the Bayernliga.
The penultimate team comes to the Grünwalder Stadium on Saturday.
SV Heimstetten has collected seven points after ten rounds and is in a direct relegation zone.
Not an unfamiliar situation for Christoph Schmitt's team, because the goal at the Munich suburban club is to stay up in Bavaria's top division every year.
Of course, the demands on the youngsters of FC Bayern are completely different.
FC Bayern II: Best offensive last season with 113 goals
In the past season there was no getting past SpVgg Bayreuth.
The champions gave up just 18 points all season and earned promotion to the 3rd division.
The youngsters from Säbener Straße still impressed and showed refreshing attacking football, had the best attacking goal with 113 goals and won nine times with a difference of four or more goals.
The team is far from that this season.
The upheaval, without Nicolas Feldhahn (end of career) and Maxi Welzmüller (to leader Unterhaching), with Timo Kern only relying on a veteran, has not yet succeeded and could bring the club into turbulence, especially in the table basement.
Already on Saturday, the Argentinian ex-professional and his team are threatened with a defeat in the worst case, falling on a relegation place in the Bavarian league.
If Türkgücü Munich (in Ansbach), Illertissen (in Aubstadt) and newly promoted Hankofen-Hailing (at home against Schweinfurt) win, the team would be in 15th place.
An unlikely scenario, but FC Bayern II experienced for themselves just how wild the regional league is at times this season with a 4-4 win in Buchbach.
FC Bayern II: Will Martin Demichelis turn the tide against Heimstetten?
If Julian Nagelsmann were to fail six times in a row without a three, the media pressure on the coach and club management would be enormous.
Demichelis can work a little more calmly in the second row.
If he doesn't manage to turn things around soon and break the winless streak, it should also become uncomfortable for the 41-year-old at some point.
The last U23 coach to be fired at FC Bayern was Heiko Vogel in 2017. After five games without a win (four defeats, one draw), the club pulled the emergency brake in March.
The statistics of the former world-class defender, who has at least scored in four of the last six matches, read a little better.
Last matchday, however, there was a 1-0 defeat at bottom FC Augsburg II. If Heimstetten also takes the three points from the Grünwalder stadium home on Saturday afternoon (we report in the live ticker), things could also be tight for Demichelis will.
