Flashy names, a hungry crowd, and big stories: League A is back, and it's more intriguing than ever Israel today

2022-09-08T18:55:02.015Z

The teams that missed promotion to the national level and will fight again this season • The players who continue to reinvent themselves in the lower leagues • And the colorful coaches who will prove that there is a lot of interest on the lines as well • "Israel Hayom" prepares you for a particularly exciting season

An atmosphere of nostalgia, teams from the periphery, and quite a lot of audience and talent: just before League A opens its doors for the 2022/23 season, "Israel Hayom" organizes and prepares you for one of the more interesting leagues that Israeli football has to offer.

First the South District, where you will find the two teams that are expected to threaten the promotion - Maccabi Yavne and Hapoel Kfar Shalem, who present a flashy and hungry acquisition with a relatively larger budget than the rest of the league.

Additional teams such as Maccabi Ironi Ashdod, MS Dimona, Ironi Modi'in, Hapoel Marmorak and Maccabi Shaariim will fight for entry to the top playoffs.

League A South

Hapoel Kfar Shalem

The main candidate to return to Laumit, who tried to fight for promotion last year - but fell in the decisive moments of the season against Maccabi Cavillio Jaffa.

The Oranges did not give up and this year they are once again presenting a purchase that is expected to compete strongly at the top.

Noam Shoham was appointed coach and signed a team that is "big in the league", goalkeeper Lior Khadirian, who is familiar to us from the days of Hapoel Ashkelon in the Premier and National Leagues, stopper Paz Ben Ari, midfielder Omri Shekel and the excellent striker, who has starred for several years in the National League, Elior Mashali.

Maccabi Yavne

Another group that is a candidate for the crown.

The Yellows, under the leadership of Yossi Zozot, who is considered a coach who knows the league inside out, managed to capture a series of players who are considered to be upstarts.

The yellows failed last year when they presented a brilliant purchase, but had to settle for the top playoffs.

In the current season, the esteemed player and elevation contractor, Ohad Edelstein, returned to the team, joining the offensive squad together with Edi Edri and Ido Sharon.

Livna also has a strong link with Guy Esat and the most impressive reinforcement of the group, Benny Natan.

Maccabi Urban Ashdod

Another team that will probably advance to the top playoffs.

After three consecutive seasons in League A, the yellows aimed to go as high as possible this summer.

If in previous years, Ironi Ashdod tried to focus on local players in League A, this time they decided to strengthen the skeleton with a number of players who made their debut in the national league and some who moved up a league with several teams.

The owner, Shai Abu, from the well-known real estate family (his brother Tzachi Abu is the owner of Arena Group, AD, AA), put his hand in his pocket in the hope that this time he will be able to lead the team from the south to a historic league promotion. Liel Cohen and Elihai Zabari were promoted with Maccabi Jaffa and decided to move to the southern fan group, Ariel Lazmi, known from his days in Bnei Yehuda who played in the Premier League, joined the team, and Amit Malka, the younger brother of Shawn Malka, stayed for another season.

The group's main advantage is the audience, which is considered the pillar that holds the group together, since it is built on shares.

This may also be a disadvantage, since it is a pressure cooker and after three years in the league, the fans will not get less than a top playoff.

MS Dimona

One of the attractive teams of League A South, but the team's distance is in Ocheria.

On the one hand, the team is trying to recruit young players from the Negev and Be'er Sheva region who will be the skeleton of the team, but on the other hand, it is difficult to recruit reinforcement players who live far away except in exchange for a high salary.

The reinforcement players of the team are at a very high level compared to the league.

The goalie vest will be worn by Tamir Lelo, the center of the defense will be manned by the experienced stopper Avi Malka, in the team's midfielder Stav Finish (yes, the same finish that scored the decisive penalty that won the State Cup for Bnei Yehuda in 2017) and in the attack Gil Hadad, who came from Po'el Acre and has already managed to score a hat-trick In the cup game last week.

As mentioned, other teams that could make it difficult for the big ones are the two street teams - Maccabi Shaariim, who opened the season with an impressive victory in the state cup, a team with a crowd and experience, as well as Hapoel Marmorak, who after investments in the last two years decided to go for a young and vibrant team.

The newcomer from League B, MS Modiin, also made interesting reinforcements and will probably cause trouble.

League A South

Hapoel Raanana

In the North District, the picture is much more decisive and it seems that there is complete control of four teams in the league.

Ra'anana, the newly relegated from the National League, appears according to many to be the clear favorite to rise from first place.

In the goalkeeper position stands Ofek Malika, who took part in the Israeli national team until the age of 19. Along with other young people from Ra'anana, we built a squad that also includes veteran and experienced players such as Amir Lavi, Israel Rash and Shanir Shukar, who will lead the team, along with impressive reinforcement players such as Omer Bowron, Elior Sider, Guy Shelah and Yrin Avraham.

MS Tira

The person who will most likely try to interfere with Ra'anana is Tira, who built a team with proven and good acquisition players.

Vova Brown will play in the back midfielder position together with Adi Nemani, and in the offensive part Eli Elbaz and Shalom Edri arrived to score.

Every year Tira builds a good team and they are usually at the top, but at certain stages the disputes surface and they find themselves moving away from the first place.

Taiba Youth MS

If you don't experience a failed season, the team associated with the mythical Hapoel Taiba should be screwed in the top playoffs.

Next to the most colorful crowd in the north will stand this year experienced players such as Tal Ayala and Ran Roll, as well as defender Salim Amash and striker Assi Goma who played for Hapoel Hadera in the Premier League.

Union of Bnei Shafaram

Seen as another team that will advance to the playoffs.

The team was founded about three years ago on the ruins of Hapoel Shafaram, which disbanded, and every year the team moved up a league.

Firas Moghrabi retired from football after the promotion from the second league and was appointed the coach of the team.

Ali Khatib, who was promoted with the team to the A League, remains, Avraham Checkul joined during the last week along with the esteemed striker Eliran Shemesh and also the striker Abed Morjan, who has starred in the A North League in recent years.

But according to sources, this is a ticking bomb and Moghrabi's main goal is to calm the spirits.

Those present at the last cup game said that discussions began between the players during the game and if there was no end to it - they would not make it to the playoffs.

the verb Clanswa

The last team that will cause a stir is the one with the most colorful coach in the league - Ohad Bozaglo.

Kalanswa landed Dor Moskovich and Nebo Mizrahi in the attack, Mor Shaked, Gal Bar El and Khalil Frij who are considered good players in the league also joined, and it seems that the team from the sector will fit into the upper part of the table and do quite a bit of damage to the other teams.

Another interest in A-League North is the quality of the teams in the triangular area, which will lead to at least nine interesting games during the season.

Also, the opening game will bring together Hapoel Ra'anana with Taiba youth and this is just the beginning of the crazy season that awaits us all.
