In the debt to the fans

Bavarian league: VfB Hallbergmoos finally wants to improve in terms of play through increased commitment.

Hallbergmoos – Matthias Strohmaier has already experienced a lot in football, including the hot-blooded fans of Bayern amateurs.

But the backing of the Hallbergmoos supporters, despite sometimes unspeakably weak performances, particularly impresses him.

"The fans here are unique," says the coach.

Before the extremely difficult game at SV Erlbach (Friday, 7.30 p.m.), he emphasizes that the team now has a duty to deliver.

Strohmaier would have understood the resentment because VfB was more victims than opponents for some opponents.

The grandstand preached Oliver Kahn's legendary motto ("keep going, keep going") down onto the pitch - with the message that everyone has to stick together in difficult times.

"With 16 newcomers, you can't immediately have a strong cohesion like last season," says Strohmaier.

This is how they wanted to get the intensity for the game in Erlbach.

The climber is almost a copy of SV Kirchanschöring, who recently won easily in Hallbergmoos.

"Kirchanschöring has been a top team for a year and a half without being brilliant in terms of play," says the coach.

That must be a role model for VfB, which is possible with limited resources.

SV Erlbach is number one in the Bayernliga in the home table with three wins, two draws and 9:1 goals.

Finally, FC Ismaning was broken up into all its individual parts 5-0 and showed what can happen to opponents if they don't accept the fight.

The art for VfB will be to let Erlbacher take control of the game without becoming too passive.

Other basement children (Garching, Rosenheim) have already tried it, but nobody managed 90 minutes in the witches' cauldron with always more than 500 spectators.

Personally, things are looking a little better.

Fabi Diranko is a candidate for the starting eleven after a good few weeks of training, while Tobias Krause and Carl Opitz are already training with the team.

Both could already be in the squad in Erlbach.

Under these conditions, VfB is a blatant outsider in Erlbach.

In his speeches during the week, Strohmaier made it clear that in the event of a defeat, it is crucial to give everything and defend yourself as much as possible.

He thinks of his own supporters: "Our fans are really unique.

But at some point we used up the credit there too.”
