The recent defeats have caused sadness at VfL Denklingen.

But the district league team now wants to know more than ever.

On Saturday we go to MTV Berg.

Denklingen – In the end, confidence was evident among all those involved.

"I think we're getting the curve," said Markus Ansorge after a good half-hour exchange with his team last Tuesday.

A first reaction should be the guest appearance in the district league south at MTV Berg on Saturday (3 p.m.), which was also suffering.

As expected, the processing of the 1:5 debacle against SC Unterpfaffenhofen did not lead to any groundbreaking decisions or changes.

Rather, Ansorge's intention was to sharpen the senses of all the protagonists.

"The team is behind me 100 percent," says the coach.

The dialogue with the board of directors brought further confirmation.

"The 'Ansorge/Denklingen' marriage is good, but sometimes you just have to question certain things," says the 55-year-old.

Ansorge's goal was to re-launch self-reflection in the club and thus remove those disruptions that had recently unknowingly crept into the team structure.

"Football is more than kicking a little bit," emphasizes the trainer.

"You can't hold your own against the other teams without being aggressive." All squad players were present at the braistorming, including the battered and injured players.

We need results now.

Markus Ansorge, coach of VfL Denklingen

Ansorge outlines his relationship with the team, underlining that they are "all my boys" and that he likes "every one of them".

But it's not about whether the players find him cool as a coach.

“But whether they understand my speeches and implement what I give them.” The relevant tenor of the unscheduled meeting: VfL pulls itself out of the mess as a collective.

Ansorge adds something that shouldn't be left out: "We need results now."

The hunt for it begins at the Lohacker in Berg, of all places, where the Denklinger encounter a massively knocked out boxer.

Of course, defeats can always be pinned down to a lack of players and unfavorable circumstances.

Nevertheless, only the result is visible to outsiders.

And that turned out nasty.

With 0:9, MTV Berg conceded the second highest defeat in club history at SpVgg Haidhausen.

However, the turnaround at VfL will not come about by looking at the tough result: "We are battered and don't drive over there with overly self-confidence," the Denklinger coach points out.

However, Ansorge thinks that the quarrels will soon have to be good again.

"It's a mini-crisis, nothing more," he clarifies.

The best way to get out of it is through biliousness and freshly fueled determination.

This is where Michael Stahl's absence hurts the most.

"He controls a lot verbally and also sends a signal in good time," says the coach.

But there is light on the horizon: Stahl's ordeal could come to an end next week;

the same applies to Dominik Karg, who will then attack again alongside an improved Simon Ried.

Ried is free of symptoms, has had a “great week of training” and is finally “extremely lively” again.

In the context of the return of Tobias Schelkle and Moritz Hemkendreis for Ansorge unmistakable indication of the beginning upward trend.

The coach speaks of “positive aspects”.

So two sixes can be called up, which should ensure more stability than last.
