The Italian club Napoli announced the absence of its Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, from the team's matches until the last week of this month due to a muscle injury in the right thigh.
According to a club statement, Osimhen, 23, was injured during the first half of the match that his team won against Liverpool 4-1 in the first round of the group stage of the Champions League last Wednesday, so he left four minutes before the end of it and was replaced by Argentine Giovanni Simeone.
Osimhen will miss the matches of Napoli against Spezia on Saturday and Milan next weekend in the local league, in addition to the confrontation against Rangers of Scotland in the second round of the Champions League next Tuesday.
