SVA Palzing wants to continue its run at SV Dornach despite failures.

SpVgg Kammerberg is the favorite in the game against promoted Untermenzing.

Palzing/Kammerberg

– Only the undefeated leader SpVgg Feldmoching has a longer series without defeat than SVA Palzing in the district league north.

The eleven from Ampertal scored points for the fifth time in a row at SV Dornach on Saturday (1 p.m.).

A difficult but not impossible challenge.

On paper, SpVgg Kammerberg got the easier task with the duel at SV Untermenzing (Sunday, 3 p.m.).

However, the Kammerbergers are anything but constant this season.

If you catch a good day, you can beat any opponent.

If you play badly, you lose.

On the last match day against Pfaffenhofen they showed both faces in one game.

In the half-time break, coach Matthias Koston got loud.

Then his team turned the result, turning a 0:1 into a 3:1.

"I hope I won't need a dressing room speech like that very often," says Koston. "Thunderstorms aren't always effective." But it worked.

SpVgg Kammerberg: Fangewisch holds strong against Pfaffenhofen

It was thanks to keeper Stefan Fängewisch that the Kammerbergers were not hopelessly behind at half-time.

He thwarted several big chances.

"If you don't keep catches that well, we're 0:3 behind at the break," said Koston.

Fangewisch shares the stakes with his colleague Markus Eisgruber this season, but he will be in charge again on Sunday.

The field player squad also remains unchanged compared to the Pfaffenhofen game and is aiming for the next win with the promoted team in Untermenzing.

On Saturday in Dornach, SVA Palzing has the chance to remain unbeaten for five games in a row for the first time since they were promoted to the 2019 district league.

However, coach Gianluca Dello Buono's team will have to improve significantly compared to last weekend's performance.

In the 2:2 against the taillight VSST Günzlhofen, the SVA only got a point because Fabian Radlmaier produced a stroke of genius in the final phase.

"I also told the boys: We were only dangerous after individual actions," said Dello Buono.

And further: "The build-up was okay, we got into the opposing half at least 20 times.

But then two shots are clearly not enough.”

SVA Palzing with some failures

The Palzinger coach demands an increase, but has to do without at least two important players in Dornach.

Onur Tas is injured, Mathias Reinbacher is on vacation.

Newcomer Alexander Schneider, who came from the A class and immediately earned himself a regular place, is absent due to vacation.

That doesn't make the task at SV Dornach any easier.

The SVD has been fifth in the table since last Thursday and the 5:4 win at Fatih Ingolstadt.

The Dornachers played well there in the first half and led 4:0 before losing the second half 1:4 despite being outnumbered.

The Palzingers registered it.
