Versailles against the leader, the recovery among women, a shock in Poissy... your football weekend in Ile-de-France

In the Paris region, it's not just PSG in Ligue 1 and Paris FC in Ligue 2. There are also some great matches in the divisions

Like last season, the Parisian invites you to take a tour of the football program in Île-de-France.

Waiting for the National derby between the Red Star

and Paris 13 Atletico on Monday (6.45 p.m.) at the Bauer stadium, the weekend is marked by several good matches such as Versailles - Dunkerque this Friday, Poissy - Rouen and Créteil - Belfort in National 2 as well as the resumption of the D1 Féminine.

The poster of the weekend: Versailles for the pass of three against the leader

On August 14, Le Parisien revealed the serious accusations against Youssef Chibhi, the coach of Versailles, suspected of having filmed women without their knowledge.

The investigation is ongoing and he has been supported by the club's shareholders who have kept him in his post.

If initially this affair had caused a stir in a locker room divided between the pros-Chibhi and the others, rather shocked by the accusations against their coach, things have faded somewhat.

All the players are still present while some had mentioned "no longer wanting to play for this coach".

And on the ground, it's going pretty well for the ambitious and promoted silver.

After his victory against Bourg-en-Bresse (2-1) and his draw in Orléans (1-1), Versailles is 5th, two points behind the leader Dunkirk, whom he receives this Friday at the Jean-Bouin stadium where he won his first two games.

Several players are absent: Akueson, Diarrassouba (suspended), Polomat (injured) or Dudouit (choice) the former Dunkirk is therefore deprived of a reunion.

Jeremain Lens, the Dutch rookie with an XXL CV, is still not ready while the Haitian Mondy Prunier is curiously announced not qualified despite having played the first two games.

The question: How did the girls of Paris FC digest their elimination in the Champions League?

On August 21, Paris FC was eliminated at the end of the night (4-5 on pens) by AS Roma during the preliminary round of the Women's Champions League in Glasgow.

Three weeks later, the team of Sandrine Soubeyrand, 3rd last season, resumed the championship against Rodez on Saturday (2:30 p.m.) at the Charléty stadium where they will play all this season.

Despite the European elimination, the Paris FC coach still wants to keep something positive from this short European experience.

“It's an extraordinary chance to be able to play this type of competition in a club.

It also allowed us to grow, all experiences are good to take.

This season, the objective is to do as well as last year.

“In the France team, Ouleymata Sarr and Clara Mateo showed that they were in good shape.

They respectively scored a quadruple and a double in the victory against Estonia (9-0) on September 2nd.

The match to go to: a head clash in Poissy

Three games, three victories, nine goals scored with stunning scenarios like last week when the team snatched the victory (4-3) against Granville after being down 1-3... Poissy, who had fought for his maintenance all last season, makes a start to the championship with a bang.

Walid Aïchour's team has a first test this Saturday against Rouen, one of the favorites for the climb which also completed a clear round.

Rouen supporters are used to moving in large numbers, there should be atmosphere at the Léo-Lagrange stadium.

Player to watch: Cheikh Touré (Poissy)

Five goals in three games… Cheikh Touré, the striker from Poissy (National 2) has been on fire since the start of the championship.

At 25, he has already scoured 8 clubs: Sainte-Geneviève, Viry, the reserves of Rennes and Dijon where he failed to obtain a professional contract, Bergerac, Arcachon and Paris 13 Atletico before arriving in Poissy in the summer of 2021. In three games, he has already managed to exceed his total from last season when he scored 4 league goals.

"I have traveled a lot, I now want to stabilize myself and my goal is to finish top scorer in the championship," he announced.

N3 teams compete in the Coupe de France

The Coupe de France, which had succeeded last season in the Ile-de-France clubs with in particular the formidable epic of FC Versailles until the semi-finals (beaten 2-0 in Nice), resumes its rights this weekend with the 3rd round synonymous with entry into the running of National 3 clubs (5th division).

This will notably be the case of ES Linas-Montlhéry which will move to Maisons-Alfort (R3).

Two years after their 32nd final against PSG (0-6), the Essonne team distinguished themselves last season by achieving two exploits against the pros of Dunkirk (L2) (1-0) in the 7th round and especially Angers ( L1) (2-0) in the 32nd round.

Stéphane Cabrelli's men were then eliminated in the next round against Amiens (L2) after the penalty shootout (4-3) after a rebound match (3-3).

US Ivry, leader of the N3 with two successes in as many games moves to Épinay-sur-Seine (R3).

67 matches are on the program in the Paris League.

The 67 winners will qualify for the 4th round, synonymous with entry into the running for N2 clubs, which will take place on September 24 and 25.
