Munich - It was a splendid evening in San Siro on Wednesday: FC Bayern defeated Inter Milan at the start of the Champions League and thus averted a mini-crisis after two consecutive 1-1 draws in the Bundesliga.

Now the star ensemble is supposed to get going again nationally.
A look at the table reveals: The German Bundesliga record champion is currently only third behind SC Freiburg and challenger Borussia Dortmund.
"I think everyone wants to be German champions and we're not first," said coach Julian Nagelsmann ahead of FC Bayern's home game against VfB Stuttgart this Saturday afternoon (from 3:30 p.m.).
"Anyone who pulls the handbrake against Stuttgart can put the parking brake on against Barcelona on Tuesday," said the 35-year-old coach, referring to the premier class game against FC Barcelona and the reunion with goalgetter Robert Lewandowski - also in the Allianz Arena in Munich .

Bayern will have to do without winger Kingsley Coman against the Swabians.
The Frenchman tore a muscle fiber in the final training session on Friday and will be out for the time being.

Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry are said to go on the offensive again compared to the 2-0 win against Inter Milan.
The national player Leroy Sané, who is outstanding in Milan, will initially sit on the bench to recover, Nagelsmann announced the day before the Bundesliga game and thus revealed parts of his line-up quite early on.
