The winger was again left out of his team's squad for the match against Regina and today (Saturday) his coach Rolando Maran confirmed: "We have to be honest - there are contacts, and he will not be included in the squad."

"Yonathan Cohen and Pisa are getting closer and closer to parting, after only one year," the Italian media wrote.

"After suffering neck pain, the player returned to training, but he will not play again. Pisa initially demanded 2 million euros, while the Israelis offered about 1.5 million euros for him."

As you remember, during the week we published that the gaps between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Pisa are very small.

All parties want the deal: the Italian team is happy to sell Yonatan Cohen, the player wants to return to Israel and Maccabi Tel Aviv needs him on its roster.

And yet both Maccabi Tel Aviv and Pisa are still insisting on relatively low amounts of only a few hundred thousand euros and it seems that this hand-wringing battle will finally lead to the player's return to Israel.

The 26-year-old Cohen recorded only seven minutes in all competitions this season.
