The years go by, and it doesn't look like Luka Modric plans to slow down.
Real Madrid's amazing Croatian celebrated his 37th birthday last night (Friday), three days after scoring in the Champions League against Celtic.
In an interview he gave to the club's television channel, he tried to explain how he could be so good at such an advanced age.
"They always ask me what my secret is, but I don't know what to tell you," he said.
"It's just natural. I live football 24 hours a day, I think it's important. I love what I love, I enjoy my profession more than ever, because it's clear to me that I'm at a difficult age for a footballer. Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much, You never know how long you will be able to play at these levels."
How important is the talent one was born with?
"I am grateful that God gave me talent, but you have to work and dedicate yourself to this profession," he said.
"Talent without work is not worth much. Today, for example, I arrived an hour and a quarter before training,
that will never end.

On the start of Real Madrid's season, he said: "The team is very good, we started well. We lost an important player in the midfield - Casemiro - but we have many good players to fill in the gaps. Tshoumani is acclimating, this is Kamabinga's second year, Kroos is always good and Valverde is outstanding. It doesn't matter where he plays. Sabaios also contributes a lot, we are covered in this position."
