The Round of 16 of EuroBasket 2022 will kick off today (Saturday), and it is clear to everyone that the deciding stages can make this tournament very special.

The fact that the three best basketball players in the world reached the championship and plays at such a high level ignites the imagination almost every day, and now all that is left is to fantasize about the direct meetings between Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Meanwhile, the three certainly live up to expectations.

Someone try to stop him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

You will not find a more efficient player in this championship.

Giannis leads the points table with 29.5 for the evening - but he does it in only 26.5 minutes per game.

Needless to say, no other star manages to score at such a high rate (for comparison: Luka Doncic with 26.6 points in 32.4 minutes, Nikola Jokic with 19.6 points in 24.3 minutes).

But pace isn't everything.

Yanis Medike at 67.3 percent for 2 points (seventh place in the championship), and perhaps the most impressive figure - at 84.4 percent from the line (13th place in the championship, before names like Shane Larkin, Vasili Micic, Tyler Dorsey, Evan Fournier and others).

In his entire NBA career, for comparison, he is shooting 71 percent from the line, and in no season has he been able to record more than 77 percent of the free throws.

The only statistical column in which he does not excel in this tournament is percentage from outside the arc - so far he has scored only 2 of 12 (16.7 percent).

The Greek Freak, who was not partnered against Great Britain to allow him some rest, has yet to score less than 25 points in a single game.

His record game was against Ukraine, when he scored 41 points (13 of 18 from the field, 15 of 18 from the free throw line) in only 27 minutes.

He is also ranked first in the index table of course (33.8).

In the round of 16, he has a comfortable encounter with the Czech Republic.

Luka Doncic

The Slovenian star is slowly entering this championship.

In the first three games - against Lithuania, Hungary and Bosnia - he scored 14 points, 20 points and 16 points, usually with medium percentages and with quite a few turnovers.

But then came two wonderful games against Germany and France.

In the first he finished with 36 points and 10 rebounds, and in the second raining no less than 47 points (15 of 23 from the field, 11 of 12 from the free throw) on the head of the tricolor, in one of the greatest performances in Eurobasket history.

Doncic is scoring 26.6 points per game so far (third in the tournament), and the percentages have also improved - 53.8 from the field.

He is also ranked in the top 10 in rebounds (7.6, tenth place) and assists (6.8, seventh place).

The bad news: No one has lost more than him in the tournament, with 4.6 per evening.

Tomasz Storanski is in second place by a fairly large margin (3.7).

In the round of 16, Luka is expecting an easy game against Belgium.

Nikola Jokic

Of all three stars, it is Jokic who has been the most subdued so far.

In only one game did he score more than 19 points (29, against Israel), but that's only because he wasn't required to.

Serbia easily won all of its early home games, and the Denver star allowed his teammates to get down to business.

The statistical line may not be extraordinary - 19.6 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game - but pay attention to the efficiency.

The Serbian star scores 68.4 percent from the field - first place in the entire championship, and along the way is also accurate at 40 percent from outside the arc and 88.9 percent from the line (seventh place in the tournament).

In the round of 16, the first test of this championship awaits him, in the form of a meeting with Italy.
