The Rennes attacking card
It's hard not to talk about the Rennes festival on this Sunday afternoon against Auxerre: five goals, nine shots on target out of twelve attempts, five different scorers.
The Amine Gouiri - Martin Terrier duo has been efficient and regular in the offensive production of Stade Rennais.
The former Lyonnais delivered an assist while scoring his first goal in the Breton jersey.
As for Terrier, he got a lot of chances before making the nets shake.
Although the Rouge et Noir had some difficult times during the match, the end result was more than positive with a clear victory and domination in attack.

Genesio's choices
To everyone's surprise, Bruno Genesio decided to bring out first scorer Kamaldeen Sulemana (2nd) at half-time to bring in Flavien Tait.
Yet the young Ghanaian was one of the best Rennes in the first act.
The final result proves the tactician right: Tait posted 87% of successful passes at the end of the meeting with a goal scored (80th).
He brought a completely different offensive style to the Rennes block, notably relieving Bourigeaud and Terrier in the creation and recovery.
Matthis Abline, also came into play, Matthis Abline offered his first goal in Ligue 1 well helped by a favorable counter (85th).
In general, the decisions of the SRFC coach were crucial in the reversal established in the middle of the second act.

Auxerre defense gifts
While Auxerre had regained the upper hand over Stade Rennais, the huge error of Alexandre Coeff, who lost the ball near his surface, allowed Amine Gouiri to score Rennes' second goal (60th), synonymous with a crushing blow for Auxerre.
On the fourth goal, Steve Mandanda made the decisive pass on a long clearance: Flavien Tait, left alone in the counter-attack, came to conclude his face-to-face, well helped by the Auxerre defense which did not return to defend after going up on a corner (80th).
Finally on the last goal, Abline scores while the defenders had repelled the first shots from Majer and Bourigeaud but without clearing the ball (85th).
Too many gifts offered on a silver platter to the effective attack of Stade Rennais.
Alexandre Coeff disappointed with his performance alongside Hamza Sakhi.

Santamaria's wound
The Rennes midfielder violently twisted his ankle (9th).
He stayed for long minutes on the ground, screaming in pain before leaving the field on a stretcher.
According to information disclosed by Canal+ during the meeting, Santamaria was taken to hospital with the medical staff of Stade Rennais.
If it is not a flop strictly speaking, it is perhaps the only black point in the final copy of the Rennais.
The loss of the middle, author of a good start to the season, is a real blow for the Bretons.
