Summary: FC Cologne - Union Berlin 1:0 (Sport1)

Union Berlin continues its great start to the season and tonight (Sunday) rose to the top of the Bundesliga with a 0:1 away win over Cologne.

Christian Streich's team finished 0:0 against Borussia Monchengladbach and dropped to second place in the table.

Cologne - Union Berlin 1:0

Both teams arrived without a league loss and after playing in Europe on the fifth, but only one remained undefeated and that is the representative of Berlin.

Cologne has not beaten Union since April 2014 (away) and failed against them in all seven Bundesliga meetings in recent years, including this time.

A Timo Hubers own goal in the fourth minute effectively sealed the game's fate, with striker Jordan Sibacho missing a penalty in the 11th minute and a goal by Sraldo Becker disallowed four minutes later.

Luca Kylian was sent off for a second yellow in the 81st minute.

Freiburg - Borussia Monchengladbach 0:0

Last season the meetings between the two teams provided six goals in each game.

This time, the clubs parted with a distribution of points that relegated Freiburg to second place in the table.

The hosts, who won the last four games, including a 1:2 victory over Karabakh in the opening round of the Europa League group stage, were unable to find the winning goal in a very even game.

The colts register a third league game in a row without a win and remain in eighth place in the Bundesliga.
