The Syrian martial arts team achieved five different medals (gold, silver and bronze) in the eleventh Arab Championship of Kyokushinkai, which concluded its competitions today in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, with the participation of 250 male and female players who represented the teams of Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Kuwait, Palestine and Egypt, in addition to Syria.

In the kata competitions, the player Dima Al-Nouri won the gold in the women's category, and the player Yamen Zarzour won the gold in the junior category.

In the individual combat competitions, Dima Al-Nouri won silver in the women's category in the under 55 kg category, and Feras Zarzour won the silver in the men's category in the under 60 kg category, while the bronze medal went to Muhammad Arafat in the junior category in the under 65 kg category.

It is noteworthy that Lebanon came first in the overall standings of the championship with 765 points, Iraq second with 480 points, then Palestine with 90 points, Kuwait with 80, while our team came in fifth place with 75 points, and Tunisia was sixth with 25 points.
