Four people were arrested last night in Marseille, after a brawl between the fans of the local team and the Frankfurt fans who arrived in the city ahead of the meeting tonight (Tuesday, 22:00) in the second round of the group stage of the Champions League.
The game was defined ahead of time as having a "high level of risk", in light of the violent past of the local fans and the difficult clashes last week at the Allianz Riviera between the French and the Germans, in a conference league match between Nice and Cologne.
In Marseille, they decided to close some schools near the Stade and Lodrome earlier on the day of the match, hoping to prevent students from getting involved in clashes between the crowds, but the night before, young people went "hunting Germans" around the city, according to the definition of the media in France.

This is Marseille's first home game of the season in the Champions League and Frankfurt's first ever as a guest at the factory.
The fans of the winner of the Europa League are known for coming in droves to away games, when last season there were no less than 30 thousand of them at Camp Nou.
This time they received 3,300 tickets for the velodrome which is supposed to be full (except for 1,500 places that will remain empty to create separation), but thousands more arrived in the city who do not hold a ticket.
