Since 2019, the formula for the new Davis Cup has been sought.
After several adjustments in recent years, that of the 2022 edition takes place in two stages: the group stage, which began this Tuesday for six days with 16 teams divided into 4 pools in 4 different cities (Bologna, Valencia, Hamburg and Glasgow), then a knockout final phase in November, long announced in Abu Dhabi, but which will finally be played in Malaga (from November 21 to 27).
France, eliminated before the quarter-finals in the last two editions and which enters the competition this Wednesday in Hamburg against Germany (deprived of its leader, Alexander Zverev, still injured), has a good card to play in a group C open, also with Belgium and Australia.
