Seconds before the exciting victory over Nikola Jokic, the coach of the Italian national team saw Giannis Antetokounmpo in the tunnel of the Mercedes-Benz Arena, jumped on him and kissed him.

Before the EuroBasket quarterfinals against France, Potzko said that he apologized to the Milwaukee Bucks star the next day.
Potzko met the giant Greek in the elevator of the teams' hotel.
"Sorry, Giannis," the coach told the NBA Finals MVP.
He continued and said "I apologized, of course. But I was happy because we won."
