One of the more surprising and dramatic decisions in world football was made last week, when Tomas Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea the day after the loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
The new owner of the Blues, Todd Boley, did give Tokel all the requirements and bought players for him for over 200 million pounds, but the bad results and the embarrassing loss in the champions, along with a murky relationship between them, led to his dismissal.
Today (Tuesday), a day before With Chelsea hosting Austria's RB Salzburg in the Champions League (22:00), Graham Potter appeared for his first press conference as Chelsea manager. Potter, it is understood, arrived from Brighton after Chelsea reportedly paid his release clause of 16 A million pounds.

In his first press conference as Chelsea coach, Potter admitted that he was excited for his first game in the Champions League: "I have experience watching the Champions League as a fan, but I'm not sure I've experienced a Champions League game from the stadium before. In the Europa League I coached Ostersund and together we beat Fok And Galatasaray. Chelsea is a huge club, with the tradition and quality to compete at the top of the Premier League, so it's a completely different challenge than anything I've known, but my years at Brighton were great."
Regarding the new challenge, he added: "This transition already feels to me as if nine weeks, nine months have even passed. The beauty is that things can change so quickly. I had good conversations with the owners and the people at the club, together we came up with good ideas that will lead the club forward. I moved to "Lesi after intensive talks because I had a good feeling that the owner and the people around him are good people above all. I left England for Sweden because I was in the ninth division and I see myself as a football coach, not necessarily an English football coach."

The 47-year-old Potter began his coaching career in Östersund from the fourth division in Sweden, but promoted it within five years to the top league for the first time in its history and in April 2017 the team won the cup and thus paved its way to the Europa League qualifiers - and as mentioned, it went home after passing Pauk and Galatasaray.
She was only stopped at the last 32 stage by Arsenal, and in June 2018 Potter returned to the Kingdom when he signed with Swansea from the Championship and a year later advanced to Brighton from the Premier League.
