Hapoel Galil Alion achieved its first pre-season victory this evening (Tuesday), 61:70 over Sharon Drucker's Hapoel Haifa, in a game that inaugurated the new basketball hall at Kibbutz Lavi.
The team from Carmel started better, especially in defense, and ended the first quarter with a 14:21 advantage.
Bryce Washington was the first to wake up in the attack of the Balkan league champion and with 10 points minimized damage, but the Haifas kept the advantage at the break, 27:32.
Barak Peleg's team almost doubled its amount of points in the next ten minutes, and made a turnaround that gave it a 47:53 lead at the end of the third quarter, with young Melamed and Harel Rinsky also joining in the celebration.
Galil continued the trend in the fourth quarter, kept excellent and slightly increased the gap until the end, 61:70.
