The SG Barockstadt has remained unbeaten in the Regionalliga Südwest for the fourth game in a row.
Against Eintracht Trier it was not enough to win the goalless draw after two wins in a row.
After Homburg's 3-1 coup, Barockstadt's coach Sedat Gören changed one position: Jonas Pfalz played in front left for Marius Löbig.
And Pfalz directly had the greatest chance of the first half – in personal union with Moritz Reinhard.
First, Reinhard failed on the post, then SVE keeper Denis Wieszolek parried Pfalz's follow-up shot (13').
The hosts were closer to the lead, and Kristian Gaudermann also had a big chance.
His header after a cross from Kevin Hilmann went just wide (31st).
Opening goal for the SG Barockstadt by Patrick Schaaf does not count
But five minutes later, the ball bounced in the net – but referee Philipp Reitermayer disallowed Patrick Schaaf's goal.
The captain braced himself when he headed the free-kick from Leon Pomnitz (36').
Instead of the leadership, it could even have been very bitter for the SGB.
Trier's Sven König – always there when things got dangerous for the guests – shot from a distance.
Tobias Wolf let the ball bounce forward, but saved Robin Garnier's follow-up shot (42').
The guests hardly noticed that Eintracht, who managed to return to the regional league in the summer via the promotion games, had not won five times in a row.
Especially after the break, the game was very balanced, only the really dangerous scenes were missing on both sides.
Reinhard was the closest, but headed Hillmann's cross over the box (55').
Otherwise it remained exciting, but not top-class, so that the SGB had to settle for a draw after two wins in a row - but remained unbeaten at least in the fourth game in a row.
Around 100 fans of Eintracht Trier among the 2000 spectators
So the fans of Eintracht Trier went back home at night with a reasonably good feeling.
Around 100 spectators had traveled from the Moselle to Fulda.
According to reports, everything remained peaceful in the stadium after the game was classified as a risky game in advance and prompted a large police operation.
The guest fans among the 2,000 or so spectators made themselves louder and louder.
