Upamecano and Hernandez sounded the charge
The 100% French pair passed a real test this evening in defense against the fiery attack of FC Barcelona (Bayern's 2-0 victory). The least we can say is that it is successful.
Dayot Upamecano's physical density and quality of recovery have done his team a lot of good in their weak times.
As for Lucas Hernandez, it was he who woke up his team by opening the scoring from a corner (50th) before disgusting the Catalan attackers alongside his teammate.
Musiala and Sané were rewarded
Stirring but rough in the first period, the two Bayern attackers did not give up and ended up finding more space in the second.
Leroy Sané (26) has, with a close cross shot, allowed his team to take shelter (54th).
This is his second goal in two Champions League games.
The passer is Jamal Musiala (19) who, match after match, is gaining momentum in Bavaria.
Mané and Muller not successful, Bayern were able to count on their youth this Tuesday evening!
Pedri floated
The young Spanish crack delighted in the first period with his technique well above average, his calm, his vista and his ability to withdraw defensively.
With his friend Gavi, they clearly dominated the midfield battle.
Unhappy twice in front of Neuer (9th then 63rd), Pedri continued his good work in the second period despite a drop in speed consistent with that of his team.

FLOPS
Pavard came out injured
The French international only spent twenty short minutes on the lawn.
First hit by Marcos Alonso, he then complained of discomfort behind the thigh and had to give way to Mazraoui, author of a good entry.
We do not yet know the severity of the injury but it could be more bad news for Didier Deschamps, who is due to announce his last list before the World Cup on Thursday.
Dembele was muzzled
The Barça winger with devastating hooks did not have the same impact on this meeting as since the start of the season.
Little requested in the first act when his teammates Lewandowski and Raphinha were rather in sight, he then never managed to create chances, lacking space and well muzzled by the side of Bayern.
A frustrating evening for him.
Sabitzer messed up
It is however one of the only ones to have been dangerous in the first period, he who saw his shot graze the right post of Ter Stegen (30th).
But the Austrian was often behind in a midfield battle won by Pedri and Gavi.
Julian Nagelsmann did not hesitate to replace him at the break with Leon Goretzka who brought more stability to his teammates.
