Three men in their twenties were arrested on Wednesday morning in Val-de-Marne and then placed in police custody in the investigation into the November attack on Kheira Hamraoui, said the Versailles prosecutor's office.
All from Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, these three individuals were arrested "
at their home in Val-de-Marne
", added the prosecution, confirming information from
the Sunday newspaper.
"
At least one of them has a criminal record
," added the prosecution.
According to a source familiar with the matter, these three young men are suspected of having participated in the attack on the PSG player in November 2021 in Chatou (Yvelines).
One of the men was arrested in Yerres in Essonne, while the other two were arrested in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, in Val-de-Marne.
On November 4, 2021, Kheira Hamraoui was attacked with iron bars by two men, in front of one of her teammates, Aminata Diallo.
The hypothesis of a rivalry between the two Paris Saint-Germain players, who play in the same midfield position, was initially considered.
Aminata Diallo and one of her friends, imprisoned in Lyon, had been placed in police custody by the judicial police of Versailles before coming out free, without charge.
