Former national ice hockey player Yannic Seidenberg from EHC Munich has been suspended for a possible violation of anti-doping regulations.
According to a statement from the German Ice Hockey Federation on Wednesday evening, the National Anti-Doping Agency (Nada) found "an analysis result that deviated from the norm during a training control" in the defender of the DEL club.
Seidenberg was therefore provisionally blocked by NADA on September 14, 2022.
His club also suspended the 2018 Olympic silver medalist.
The association and also the EHC Munich stated that due to the ongoing process "no further statements would be made".
The winger himself has not yet commented on the allegations.
The Munich team will start the new season of the German Ice Hockey League on Thursday (7:30 p.m.) with the Kölner Haie.
