Lenggrieser SC learns from a 9-1 thrashing victory in Sauerlach
Sauerlach/Lenggries – It wasn't really a question of victory or defeat.
It's about the amount of victory: TSV Sauerlach, in which Lenggrieser SC won 9-1 (4-0) on Wednesday evening, will not score many points this year.
The squad of the already beaten tail light had to lose a lot of feathers before the season.
"But it was a good competition for us," says Lenggrieser coach Stefan Simon.
"Because Sauerlach got down to business, we were forced to play fast."
Forced to play fast
And he could afford to field an extremely young team in which Jakob and Leo Gerg - later Sebastian Biagini for Jakl Gerg - were by far the oldest players.
However, Simon was a little annoyed: "We are the first team to concede a goal from Sauerlach." However, the 1:9 was a Sunday shot from 40 meters that somehow found its way into the Lenggrieser box.
The lid was on the game relatively quickly.
The guests took a 2-0 lead early on, Sauerlach never got even remotely dangerous into the 16, over which keeper Maxi Kleim watched relatively inactively.
Extensive scorer list
The result could have been even clearer.
Simon: "We had good standards, scored very nice goals and created many more good chances." But in the end the players' inexperience was sometimes noticeable - for Korbinian Demmel, for example, it was the first adult game ever.
He also added himself to the long list of goalscorers, but also missed a big chance when he went wide of the empty goal from close range.
“Others have also accomplished this feat.
As I said: Hopefully we'll learn from it," notes the Lenggrieser coach.
Some of his protégés were too playful for him.
"The game becomes slow when everyone tries to play 1v1."
He doesn't want to overestimate the runaway victory.
"We already know how to classify the result and also know that other opponents will come again." On Saturday, LSC will have to face second-bottom Real Kreuth.
