Roger Federer - one of the greatest tennis players in the world, announced his retirement and the reactions were not long in coming.
ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said:
"Roger's impact on tennis, and the legacy he has built, cannot be overstated.
For 24 years as a pro, Roger brought millions of fans to the game.
He has spearheaded an incredible new era of growth and elevated the popularity of our sport."
