A great achievement for the artistic gymnast Adi Katz, who finished the ribbon exercise in the final of the World Championships in Sofia in fourth place - and missed a place on the podium only because of the tie breaker.
The 18-year-old Katz presented a great and powerful exercise that was clean and without knots as happened to her predecessors, when she was satisfied at the end and also received applause from the Olympic champion Linoi Ashram, who is in the competition as part of the training team.
She received a score of 29.9 points, a result equal to the score received by Ekaterina and Danieva, but in the tie breaker it was the Slovenian who got on the podium and thus obtained the first ever medal for her country in this competition.
The Italian Sofia Raffaelli won the gold medal with 32.650 points and the local Stiliana Nikolova finished second with 31.850 points.
Katz also advanced to the battle rab final after earning 92.7 points in the overall score on her three best apparatuses, with the low score on the fourth apparatus dropping, placing her in seventh place overall with only the top 18 taking part in this final on Saturday.
It is important to remember that only in the final itself, after each gymnast has performed all four exercises a second time, will the first tickets to the upcoming Olympic Games in France be awarded in less than two years.
In the club exercise, the Israeli gymnast won a score of 30.650 points, ranked ninth and missed by one place, entering another final.
Tomorrow (Friday) the qualifiers will begin in the team competition and in the finals of the rab battle when each team will present the exercise with five hoops, and the combined exercise with the ribbons and balls, and at the end the 3 teams with the best results will win medals and tickets to Paris 2024.
